Hello EWOCCers!

We are very excited to share our 33rd annual conference with you on Saturday!  Please remember to bring your printed tickets or pull up your ticket on your smartphone and we can scan you in. If you registered as a student, make sure to have your student ID.

Here are some important reminders and details for the day of the event:

Time & Place:

Registration in the morning is from 8:00am-9:00am in the foyer of Pauley Ballroom (Martin Luther King Jr. Student Union)

Even if you registered online, you must check in with our registration tables! There will be tables for UCB Students, General check in (including groups, non UCB students, and public), and workshops/vendor/speakers check-in. Volunteers will help you find where you need to go.

We expect the morning to be the most crowded part of the day. So please bear with us.

We are asking folks to arrive before 8:40 am to register if they already have a ticket.

For those on the waitlist, we are asking that they come day of, and it will be first come, first serve, based on space availability in the morning starting at 8:45 am sharp. For those on the waitlist, you will have your own check-in table. Please bring cash or card to pay for admission from the waitlist.

EWOCC is entering the tech world! This year to cut down on paper, we are going digital with our programs! (Limited number of printed programs will be available for those who do not have access to a smart phone)

Please download our event app ExpoPass on your smartphone. When prompted, create an account using the same email you used to register for the Eventbrite ticket. This is essential.

You will get all the program details on the app then. There will be a tech-support table if you are having trouble.

There is a PDF version on the homepage of our website as well https://ewocc.wordpress.com/

Wifi for the Berkeley Campus is Cal Visitor.

UC Berkeley is not car-friendly. There is no free or low-cost parking near campus. Therefore, we strongly encourage you to use public transportation; both BART and numerous AC Transit lines service UC Berkeley. We recommend that drivers park in the Underhill Parking Garage, located on Channing and Bowditch. Full-day parking in Underhill costs $12-15. Please note that it is a good ten-minute walk from Underhill to Pauley Ballroom. If for whatever reason you are unable to walk that distance and need to be picked up and shuttled to Pauley Ballroom, please email ewocc-ga@berkeley.edu ASAP  so we can make the necessary accommodations.

Note: To locate Pauley Ballroom on Google Maps or a ride sharing app, please type in ASUC Student Union: Martin Luther King Jr. Building. The address is 2495 Bancroft Way, Berkeley, CA 94720. Please use the UC Berkeley campus camp as your official guide to accessing and navigating the UC Berkeley campus.

All minors under 18 years of age must bring a printed & signed Emergency Contact Form and an Authorization to Treatment Waiver. A parent or guardian must sign these forms. 16 & 17 year olds (with valid ID) can come unaccompanied by adults as long as they have their completed and signed forms. Youth 15 & under must come with adult supervision — doesn’t have to be parents although a signed waiver from their parents is needed (i.e., a 14 year old can come with her 19 year old sister so long as she has her forms completed & signed by her parent or legal guardian). Both forms can be found here, and on the website, under the Registration Tab

Breastfeeding and Prayer Space:

There will be designated areas for attendees who want a quiet place to breastfeed and/or pray. Please refer to our help desk for further information. Please note that all of EWOCC is a breast-feeding friendly space; this space is if privacy is desired.

Food & Water Bottles:

Breakfast, lunch, and snacks will be provided over the course of the day and this is complimentary with your registration. Please remember to bring water bottles since we will not be selling or distributing bottled water. We have tried to accommodate as many diet types as possible–if you have severe allergies, we recommend you bring your own food.

EWOCC Merchandise & Vendor Fair:

Bring cash (preferable) if you are interested in purchasing EWOCC merchandise or want to support the beautiful art of local vendors. We will be selling EWOCC t-shirts with the logo.

Social Media:

We’d love to see and read how you’re experiencing EWOCC! Please use the hashtags: #EWOCC2018 #33EWOCC #freespaceourspace and follow us on Facebook, Twitter + Instagram (@berkeleywoci).

We are unable to process any more refunds. We have a long waitlist and offered many scholarships, so if you cannot come please consider your ticket a donation for others to be able to attend.

If you have any other questions, check out website at ewocc.wordpress.com. If your question isn’t answered there, you can email us here at ewocc-ga@berkeley.edu.
