Volunteer at EWOCC!

Tickets are selling fast, but volunteers receive free admission, access to all parts of the conference, and a free EWOCC t-shirt. Volunteer responsibilities include one 3-hour day of shift and one hour-long training session.
EWOCC’s success is dependent on the hard work of our volunteers who assist with all aspects of our conference including but not limited to food service, registration, set-up, and clean-up.

EWOCC Artist Showcase & Open Mic Night!

Come celebrate womxn of color artistic voices and talent!

The 32nd Annual Empowering Women of Color Conference ‘Open Mic Night and Artist Showcase’ features and provides space for performances celebrating the voices of womxn of color.

This event is open to all. Donation based entry ($5 suggested).

All proceeds will be donated to Access Women’s Health Justice (

This year our theme is “2017 Empowering Women of Color Conference | Unbound and Unboxed: Owning, Asserting, and Uplifting our Whole Selves” and we are currently looking for workshop leaders to present at the conference.

The conference generally sees about 800-1000 attendees, and workshops can provide great exposure in the community for non-profit organizations, creative artists, students, and community leaders!

31st Annual Empowering Women of Color Conference


The 31st Annual Empowering Women of Color Conference invites local non-profits, community and student groups, artists, and makers to table at our 2016 gathering. EWOCC 2016 will feature a Resource & Vendor Fair, which will take place from 12:00 pm – 1 pm outside in Wheeler Plaza. The Resource & Vendor Fair is an opportunity for community and student groups to promote upcoming events and share resources with conference participants. It is also a space for local makers and artists to sell their products. If you are interested in tabling at EWOCC, please complete this form no later than March 11, 2016 here


  • Vendors may not sell food
  • Vendor spaces are limited. Vendor applications will be approved by the EWOCC planning team. The planning team will privilege applications where the product or resource in question clearly resonates with the themes of the conference.
  • If your application is approved, set-up procedures and guidelines will be emailed to you. Vendors who plan to sell goods must pay $20; vendors with resources must pay just $12.  
  • If selling items, it is highly encouraged you have a method of accepting credit/debit card.
